SAC Teams Grabbed 2 Prizes and Fundraised for Life Centre

The Triathlon brought around 100 St Andrew's church members to the Disneyland Resort on a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning on 26 October.

Of the 19 relay teams and 1 individual who took part, Team SA Giant and SAC Team Power captured the second and third place respectively in the Open Relay and were presented with their medals on the podium. Everyone was so proud of them!

Our ministers team (Alex, Dale and Dan) did well too - they came 13th place overall, just a minute 12 seconds behind our Youth Leaders team who came 10th place. Our all-girls Youth leaders team took 15th place.

This has been the third year for St Andrew's to participate in the Triathlon to fundraise for the 2020 Vision. So what's different about this year?

One church member said, "The crowd from the St Andrew’s Group is even bigger this year. When you look around the numbers wearing yellow shirts, we are about 10% of the competition."

Now that the race is over, we hope the funds raised will also break last year's record! Rush out to sponsor an athlete now as they have to return their sponsor forms and donations to the church office by 25 November 2013.
